Accessing Academic Support: How Businesses Benefit From Engaging With Local University and College

Are you a small or medium-sized business in Devon? You could be missing out on FREE training and support, as well as incentive payments of up to £3,600.

There are now new ways that businesses in Devon can gain support with training, recruitment, product development and testing, and data analysis services by working with local education providers, including the University of Plymouth and University College South Devon.

This free event provides businesses with the opportunity to learn about ALL of the free support available to them in one place.

The event will feature:

  • Simon Taylor, Project Manager at the University of Plymouth who will discuss the graduate recruitment programme, STEM Graduates into Business which offers incentive payments to SMEs of up to £3,600
  • Ivan Morton, Senior Coordinator Business Engagement at University Centre South Devon who will discuss free training workshops and workplace needs assessments available to businesses in Devon
  • Claire Pearce, Project Manager for Plymouth Materials Characterisation Project (PCMP) at the University of Plymouth who will discuss the University’s Plymouth Electron Microscopy Centre which offers high-resolution imagery and analysis to support business and research
  • And much more.

Time for networking with hot breakfast rolls and refreshments will be provided.
